Joe Gebhardt is the founder and managing partner of Gebhardt & Associates, LLP, an employment law firm in Washington, D.C. A graduate of Harvard Law School, he has been an attorney for 37 years and has extensive courtroom, class action and appellate experience. He founded Gebhardt & Associates, LLP nearly 20 years ago to provide strong legal representation and advocacy for employees in the government and private business sectors. Since then, he has successfully represented hundreds of clients in high-profile and low-profile cases involving discrimination, disability and wrongful termination. He is recognized by Martindale-Hubbell as an AV-rated attorney, has earned the Super Lawyer designation awarded by Law & Politics and has been named in the top 1 percent of Washington lawyers by The Washingtonian magazine. A member of the American Bar Association, the National Employment Lawyers Association and the Metropolitan Washington Employment Lawyers Association, he focuses his practice on employment law cases involving federal employees, age discrimination and all other types of discrimination, civil rights, women's rights, sexual harassment, wrongful termination and disability. His published works include the report "Blueprint for Civil Service Reform, a Fund for Constitutional Government," which was a catalyst for the Civil Service Reform Act of 1978.
