Karen E. Evans is one of four senior trial attorneys at The Malpractice Law Firm Jack H. Olender & Associates, P.C., where she handles catastrophic medical malpractice and personal injury cases on behalf of injured persons. Prior to becoming a trial attorney, Ms. Evans served in the U. S. Air Force Nurse Corp. A registered nurse, Ms. Evans began her legal career as a insurance defense attorney successfully representing doctors, nurses and hospitals. In 2000, she began representation of injured persons as a trial lawyer. Ms. Evans is a member of the American Association of Nurse Attorneys. She is currently the President-Elect of the Trial Lawyers Association of the District of Columbia and is a member of their Executive Committee. Additionally, she has also been elected as the 2nd Vice President of the Washington Bar Association of Washington, DC. Ms. Evans is also a volunteer mediator with the Alternative Dispute Resolution Programs of the D.C. Superior Court. Ms. Evans is an Adjunct Professor at the University of the District of Columbia David A. Clarke School of Law where she teaches Legal Writing and Research. An avid baseball fan, Ms. Evans is an Advisory Board member for S.M.A.R.T. a community organization dedicated to improving academics through sports. In 2007, Ms. Evans was named a Super Lawyer by Washington, D.C. Super Lawyers. She was selected for inclusion in Best Lawyers in America, Washington, DC. in 2009,2010, and 2011. She is rated AV Preeminent by Martindale-Hubbell® Peer Review Ratings and is listed in the Bar Register of Preeminent Women Lawyers.
