Richard Dykstra's practice focuses on insurance coverage. For more than 30 years he has represented policyholders, brokers, agents, and insurance companies in insurance coverage disputes and bad faith litigation. Richard has served as coverage counsel for a variety of entities and individuals, including contractors, real estate developers, building owners, county and municipal governments, and corporate directors and officers. He also represents physicians, attorneys, and architects in disputes arising under their professional liability policies. Richard's cases have shaped and refined Washington insurance law for three decades, and he is often called upon by other prominent Washington attorneys to evaluate coverage and bad faith issues and help develop an effective litigation strategy. Richard earned his law degree from the Northeastern University School of Law in Boston, and clerked for the Washington Court of Appeals.
