Profile

Charlie has helped families and regional businesses address estate planning, business, and tax issues since 1982. He represents business owners and entities in connection with business sales and acquisitions, merger transactions and corporate restructurings, licensing arrangements, executive and key manager compensation, employment arrangements, finance, and related transactions. Charlie also designs estate plans, in many instances for clients whose estates present serious tax issues and unique challenges. His estate and trust work frequently includes the crafting of business succession plans involving family members and/or key employees. Charlie served as a law clerk at the United States Tax Court in 1980. He is a graduate of Amherst College, Tulane University Law School, and Georgetown University Law Center (LL.M. in Taxation).
