Profile

Doug Cowan is a founder and currently a Fellow of the National College for DUI Defense. He served on its Board of Regents from 1994-2000, serving as Dean of the College for the 1996-1997 academic year, and received its lifetime achievement award in July 2000. He is a founder of the Washington Foundation for Criminal Justice, a state organization dedicated to DUI defense, serving as President from 1989-1998. He has lectured for other lawyers in 19 states, is co-author of the text Defending DUIs in Washington, and is a founding member of the Washington Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.
