Profile

Francis S. Floyd has been a civil trial lawyer in Washington and Alaska for 30 years. He is the President of the litigation firm of Floyd, Pflueger & Ringer, P.S. Francis' recent cases emphasize the defense of insureds and self-insureds in large loss, complex litigation in the Northwest. He has been lead counsel in cases relating to the Exxon-Valdez oil spill, the sinking of the I-90 bridge, the Bellingham pipeline explosion and, most recently, the Grant County public defense class action lawsuit. He has tried over 100 civil jury trials, including serious personal injury and wrongful death, product defect, pharmacy law, intellectual property litigation, construction law, professional malpractice, and civil rights and employment litigation. Francis graduated from the University of Washington in 1975 and Willamette University College of Law in 1978. A lifelong resident of the Pacific Northwest, he enjoys tennis, downhill skiing, sea kayaking, and foreign travel.
