Jeff Coopersmith is president of Coopersmith Health Law Group and the former Chief Counsel at the Washington State Office of the Insurance Commissioner. Coopersmith Health Law Group represents hospitals, doctors, and patients in their dealings with health insurers and regulators. The firm has negotiated significant increases in reimbursement for a wide range of hospitals and physician practices, recovered huge sums in wrongfully denied claims, and captured payments for services through improved coding and billing procedures. We have achieved these results while improving relationships with health insurers and regulators. The firm features a unique team, including former regulators, the former head of provider contracting at Regence, a physician, a certified coding specialist, and the former Director of Legal and Clinical Policy at the Washington State Hospital Association.
