Jennie's practice focuses on contested custody cases between married or unmarried parents, cases involving domestic violence and abuse allegations, and all manner of family law cases representing gay, lesbian, transgendered, and bisexual clients. Jennie is a board member of the King County Coalition Against Domestic Violence and an adjunct professor at Seattle University School of Law. Jennie also occasionally sits as a pro tem family law commissioner in King County Superior Court. She received the WSBA YLD Pro Bono Award in 2003, has volunteered with the Self-Help and Legislative Committees of the Northwest Women's Law Center, and participated with the volunteer legal teams representing the petitioner in In re the Parentage of LB and trial-level work for the plaintiffs in Andersen v. King County.
