Kristine A. Costello is the founder of Costello & Associates, PLLC, a Seattle law firm dedicated to providing the highest caliber of criminal defense representation. As an experienced trial attorney, Ms. Costello defends the legal rights of accused individuals throughout Washington and handles cases in federal, state and city courts.

Ms. Costello graduated with her J.D. from Boston University School of Law in 1991. After working as a public defender for seven years, she went on to open her own criminal defense practice.

An AV Preeminent lawyer*, Ms. Costello is a member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Attorneys, the American Bar Association and the Washington Association of Criminal Defense Attorneys. She teaches at the National Institute for Trial Advocacy and at the University of Washington School of Law. In addition, she is a co-chair of the Federal Bar Association's Criminal Law Committee and a founder of the King County Washington Women Lawyers' criminal law section.

Ms. Costello served as the district representative on the Criminal Justice Act Panel of the Western District of Washington from 2003-2008, and she has been honored as an emeritus member of the William L. Dwyer American Inns of Court.
