Profile

Michael L. Olver has been in private practice since 1976 and has been listed in Who's Who in American Law since 1985, awarded the 1998 Outstanding Achievement Award by the Washington State National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NELA) Chapter, and has chaired and lectured at seminars on a variety of topics ranging from litigation to elder law. He drafted the prototype d4A, d4C, and C2B trusts used in Washington State. Mr. Olver has also won two decisions in the Washington State Supreme Court, one involving retroactive Medicaid lien recovery issues, has successfully litigated a class action on the same issues and meretricious property rights in a probate, and has obtained favorable appellate decisions regarding join tenancy, the dead man's statute, and meretricious property issues in a probate context. He is a certified NASD arbitrator and mediates TEDRA. In 1993, he published a science fiction novel, Bascomb's Rogue, University Editions Press.
