Monica Kaup Cary is a family law attorney at DuBois Cary Law Group, PLLC in Seattle, Washington. She devotes her practice entirely to family law, handing collaborative divorce, high-conflict divorces involving significant assets and complex property division, and other family law matters. She takes a creative and individualized approach to each case, working with clients to arrive at solutions that thoroughly address their needs and goals, and keeping them informed about what to expect at every step as their case progresses. A graduate of Lewis & Clark College Northwestern School of Law in Portland, Oregon, she has been a practicing attorney since 2001. Before joining DuBois Cary Law Group, she worked as deputy prosecuting attorney in Pierce County, where she gained valuable insight into the plight of families in the courtroom. Her successes as an attorney include returning a child kidnapped by her father. In addition to serving as secretary of the South Asian Bar Association of Washington, she is a member of the King County Bar Association, the Washington State Bar Association's family law section and the domestic violence prevention organization Chaya. She also volunteers with Seattle University's Access to Justice Institute, the Latina/o Bar Association of Washington, the King County Bar Association's Self Help Plus and Kinship Care Solutions programs and the Volunteer Advocates for Immigrant Justice.
