Profile

I graduated from the University of California, Hastings in 1978 and the University of Washington in 1973 with the help of the GI Bill after serving as a medic in Vietnam. My career began as a deputy prosecuting attorney in bucolic Lewis County. Since 1982 I have practiced on behalf of defendants in a wide variety of civil suits at the request of their insurers and occasionally served as an arbitrator in UIM disputes. Thirty-one years of litigation have taken me down some interesting paths, some better lit than others. But to borrow from Douglas Adams, I may not have gone where I intended to go, but I think I have ended up where I intended to be.
