Profile

Phil Talmadge graduated from West Seattle High School as a National Merit Scholar. He has a B.A. from Yale and a J.D. from the University of Washington. Phil served in the State Senate from 1979 to 1995 and on the Supreme Court from 1995 to 2001. He has taught appellate advocacy at the Seattle University and UW Law Schools. He is the author of numerous articles on legal issues and a treatise on attorney fees. Phil concentrates his practice on appellate law issues. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Appellate Attorneys and a member of the Washington Appellate Lawyers Association. He is admitted to practice in Washington, the Ninth and Federal Circuits, and the United States Supreme Court.
