Rachel Black is a partner at Susman Godfrey L.L.P., one of the nation's leading litigation boutique law firms. She is a trial lawyer who specializes in high-stakes commercial litigation for both plaintiffs and defendants, often under alternative fee arrangements. Ms. Black has significant trial and case management experience on cases covering a variety of subjects including antitrust, contracts, fraud, accounting malpractice, and patent infringement, among others. Before joining Susman Godfrey, Ms. Black was a federal law clerk for the Honorable Robert R. Beezer in the Ninth Circuit and the Honorable Alan C. Kay in the United States District Court of Hawaii. She received her J.D., magna cum laude, from Cornell Law School in 1999, where she was a law review editor; her M.S. in 1996; and her B.A. in 1991. She is the President and a founder of the Mother Attorneys Mentoring Association of Seattle, which has over 500 members and has sister branches in a number of other cities.
