AV rated by Martindale Hubbell, Ralph Hurvitz focuses his practice on criminal defense in federal, state, and municipal courts. He is a member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the Washington Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. He has been included on panels of defense counsel for the International Criminal Tribunals for the Former Yugoslavia and Rwanda. Mr. Hurvitz’ experience in the defense of criminal cases is diverse. Since 1988, he has instructed both attorneys and law students in trial practice. Mr. Hurvitz serves as president of the board of directors of the Society of Counsel for the Representation of Accused Persons. Admitted to practice in 1974, he is a graduate of Massachusetts Institute of Technology (1971) and Northwestern University School of Law (1974).
