Robert L. Jacobson has extensive experience in intellectual property litigation. He has particular experience in representing plaintiffs and defendants in complex patent litigation, where he has won significant pretrial victories on behalf of his clients. Mr. Jacobson has represented clients in such fields as software, medical devices, mechanical devices, and biotechnology. He is also experienced in trademark, copyright, and trade secret litigation as well as in drafting and negotiating intellectual property licenses. Mr. Jacobson previously served as a law clerk to the Hon. James R. Browning on the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. He also has a background in software programming.
