Profile

Ms. Durkan has successfully represented public and private clients in connection with some of the state's most complex projects, including the University of Washington's master plan, the State Convention Center, Seattle's Pacific Place project, the Union Station redevelopment, The Landing in Renton, and construction of shoreline facilities in DuPont. Current projects include major residential, commercial, natural resource, and industrial developments in the Puget Sound area. She is currently working with Nitze Stagen and Daniels Development on the First United Methodist Church project, redevelopment of the north Kingdome lot, Triad's Civic Center project, and Coca Cola's Bel-Red facility. She has also represented property owners impacted by large public works projects such as Sound Transit, new regulations for emerging issues such as climate change, and new zoning or regulatory initiatives. Ms. Durkan is from a politically active family. She chaired the state Land Use Study Commission and chaired the WSBA Environmental and Land Use Law Section.
