Profile

Tom Kilbane has assisted Northwest clients on a wide range of environmental issues since he began practicing law in Seattle in 1980. He represents potentially responsible parties at hazardous waste cleanup sites and serves as joint or common counsel for PRP groups.  He represents clients in environmental litigation and alternative dispute resolution, and he is available to serve as a mediator or arbitrator in disputes over allocation of environmental liabilities. Tom also counsels clients on compliance with air quality, water quality, and other environmental regulatory requirements, and he defends them in related agency enforcement actions. In addition, Tom has experience in land use and project development, including energy and industrial facility siting, shoreline permitting and wetlands regulation, and cleanup and redevelopment of brownfield sites.
