Watson Blair practices in the areas of estate planning, probate and trust administration, family-owned and other closely held businesses, charitable giving, trust and estate dispute resolution, contested guardianships, and non-profit organizations. Mr. Blair has played a major role in the design and drafting of Washington's trust and probate laws. He has served on the Executive Committees of the Real Property, Probate & Trust Section and the Tax Section of the Washington State Bar Association and of the Estate Planning Council of Seattle; serves as a director and officer of several non-profit organizations in Washington; and serves as a fiduciary in Washington and New York. Mr. Blair received his B.A. from Yale University and his J.D. from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law, and is a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel.
