Flig was a senior trial attorney in the King County Prosecutor's Office. Flig is a member of several state and national professional organizations. He has been appointed an arbitrator in King County Superior Court and in private cases for the past 20 years. Flig has served on the boards of Lawyers Helping Hungry Children, Treatment Alternatives to Street Crimes, and the Washington Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. Before his career as an attorney, Flig served in the Peace Corps and taught as a primary grade school teacher in Chicago, Illinois.
