Profile
Following an impressive military JAG career, Kirk Obear developed a statewide Wisconsin practice solely dedicated to criminal defense law: drunk driving, drug charges, traffic violations, sex offenses, internet crimes. To date, Mr. Obear's advocacy has resulted in over 100 jury acquittals, amendments, or dismissals from defense motions filed on behalf of his clients. Mr. Obear recently served as the President of the Wisconsin Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (WACDL), and is a life member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (NACDL). Kirk is also on the National Legal Committee for the National Organizatin for the Reform of Marijuana Laws (NORML). In November 2008, he opened his own law office in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. In May of 2009, he was elected to the Board of Directors for NACDL.
