Answer

Yes! In addition to first responders, all downtown Manhattan workers, residents and students are eligible for the 9/11 Victim Compensation Fund. If you or a loved one were in lower Manhattan anytime between September 11, 2001 and May 30, 2002, you may be eligible for significant compensation from the 9/11 Fund and free lifetime medical care from the World Trade Center Health Program. All you or a loved one needs is  to have been diagnosed with one eligible health condition (such as cancer, respiratory, or digestive) since 9/11/2001.
