I can’t go a day without … listening to Beyoncé.

If you were in my office, you’d … be surrounded by pink walls and colored notepads. The pop of color helps brighten my mood even on the toughest of days.

My colleagues would be surprised to know … nothing. I am an open book, so there is likely nothing they don’t know! #oversharer 

When I was a newbie lawyer I … cried a lot. Family practice can be tough, and it took me awhile to learn how to manage my emotions and not take things personally.

My pre-trial routine is … make a to-do list and follow it to the letter.

When I started, I wish I knew … that you can’t help everyone even if you would like to.

If I weren’t a lawyer, I’d be … an entertainment reporter or a co-host on The Talk.

When I win a case, I celebrate by … cranking up Beyoncé and having a solo dance party in my office.

I can’t believe more people haven’t read … An American Marriage.

My fictional hero is … Okoye, a character from Marvel Comics.

My real-life heroes are … my parents—they are real-life superheroes.

The talent I wish I had is …. any type of talent would be great—I’m not picky!

The most fascinating person I ever met is … my grandmother. She is an amazing person and has lived a fascinating life.

I get angry when … people play legal games in order to cause delay, frustration and increase litigation costs.

My motto is … be kind because you don’t know what someone is going through.

The craziest thing I witnessed in a courtroom is … a pro se litigant throwing a temper tantrum which rivaled any 2-year-old temper tantrum I have ever seen.

The three people I’d invite to dinner are … Michelle Obama, Beyoncé, Star Jones.

I wish I had invented … the artificial Christmas tree!

My favorite podcast is … Rants and Randomness with Luvvie Ajayi.

The last TV show I binge-watched was … Insecure.

My guilty pleasure is … shopping for holiday decorations.

My favorite word is … “seriously!”

If I won the lottery I’d … throw away every coat, hat, scarf, glove or any other winter accessory and move to Jamaica.

The question I wish people would stop asking is … ‘What’s it like for your husband, being married to a divorce attorney?’ I don’t know—ask him. But if the real question is, ‘What’s it like being married to Kimberly Cook?’ then the answer is ‘Amazing!’
