Discovery with Angel Berbarie

You won’t read Angel Berbarie’s favorite word here—not her second-favorite, either

My nickname is … With a name like Angel, I don’t really need a nickname.

I can’t go a day without … chai tea. I’d prefer to have a blueberry scone as well, but that doesn’t always happen.

If you were in my office, you’d … see the amazing artwork of my 6- and 8-year-old children, and the scales of justice balanced by crayons … also courtesy of my kids.

My colleagues would be surprised to know that … I’m slightly OCD. OK, I don’t think they’d be all that surprised.

When I was a newbie lawyer I … had no idea what I was getting into, but I’ve adjusted accordingly.

The lawyer I most admire is … probably my ex-husband, Edward Berbarie. He’s a walking evidence book and seems to inherently know the law even if it’s not his area of expertise.

The quality I most like in a lawyer is … the ability to be reasonable.

If I weren’t a lawyer, I’d … own my own coffee and bakery shop … so I could have chai tea and blueberry scones all day.

When I win a case, I celebrate by … sleeping.

My career high point (so far) has been … ending up at GoransonBain. The lawyers and all the staff here are the best of the best.

The last TV show I binge-watched was … either Shameless or Nashville. Opposite ends of the spectrum.

Nothing cheers me up like … seeing my kids’ faces light up with joy.

My most bizarre talent is … that I can juggle. Well, a little; don’t want to overstate that.

The talent I wish I had is … playing the piano. I’m trying to get my daughter to learn so she can teach me.

My favorite word is … probably not appropriate to say here. So I’ll go with my second-favorite word. … Oh, never mind.

If I had a time machine … I would get some days back from when my kids were younger, though I have enjoyed each phase.

If I won the lottery, I’d … go back to Hawaii and make a plan for what I want to do with the money.

My real-life heroes are … my grandparents. I can’t imagine how different my life would be if they had not been there, and I’m lucky to have had them for so much of my life.

My guilty pleasure is … have I mentioned chai tea and blueberry scones?
