Phillip R.A. Mastagni

Attorney Phillip Mastagni is Partner in the Civil Litigation Department of the firm Mastagni Holstedt, APC. Mr. Mastagni specializes in Civil Litigation, including trial and appellate litigation in California and Federal Courts. An experienced litigator, as well as, AFL-CIO Lawyers Coordinating Committee (LCC) Attorney, Peace Officer’s Research Association of California (PORAC) Legal Defense Fund Panel Attorney, Mr. Mastagni is admitted in U.S. District Courts for the Southern, Eastern, Northern and Central Districts of California, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit.

Mr. Mastagni also handles International Litigation and Consulting worldwide, including, in Russia, Germany, France, Korea, India, Italy, Canada, China, Japan, Namibia, Uganda, Zuid Afrika, the Netherlands, and the U.K.

Mr. Mastagni has an impressive resume having handled police and law enforcement Sec. 1983 and civil defense, complex civil litigation, including breach of contract, business tort, fraud, breach of fiduciary duty, unfair business practice, Labor-Management Reporting and Disclosure Act 29 U.S.C. 501 violation, Whistle-blower, Qui Tam, aviation (commercial and private plane crashes and NTSB and FAA pilot hearings), products liability, tort, catastrophic injury, employment and wrongful termination litigation. He has handled litigation from inception through trial and jury verdict and is well versed in international civil litigation.

While a student at Georgetown University Law Center, he focused his studies in international and European Union law. Mr. Mastagni speaks fluent German. Mastagni has litigated and been involved with cases and discovery in France, the Netherlands, the U.K., Canada (Quebec & Ontario) Japan, Korea, China, Mexico, and elsewhere, both through US Courts as well as the Hague Convention. Mr. Mastagni has handled many complex, international, and multi-state civil cases.

Mr. Mastagni is a graduate of the University of Virginia National Trial Advocacy College.
