Chad P. Hemmat is a co-founding principal partner of Anderson Hemmat Levine LLC in Denver, Colorado. He practices exclusively in the area of civil litigation. In one representative case, Mr. Chad Hemmat successfully brought a legal malpractice claim against two Denver law firms for negligence and mistreatment in handling a brain injured client's insurance claim.
Mr. Hemmat achieved the first successful trial verdict on behalf of a premature child born after a forced delivery due to an auto crash. The collision resulted in the untimely birth of the baby, who died shortly after birth. Prior to the lawsuit, no child with the gestational age of 22 weeks had legal standing to bring a wrongful death action under Colorado law.
Mr. Hemmat also brought the only Colorado class action lawsuit against Pfizer Inc. for their misrepresentations of the drug Neurontin. Mr. Chad Hemmat and his trial team brought the only Colorado class action against Morgan Stanley, Merrill Lynch and Citigroup for their role in the financial world scandal in the early 2000s. Mr. Hemmat brought the only successful wrongful death claim involving the Guffy family murders in 2001.
