Adam has lectured to the CBA/YLS Criminal Law Committee and sits on the CBA/YLS Executive Council. He is a member of the Illinois Constitutional Rights Foundation, NACDL, ISBA, Decalogue Society of Lawyers, and NORML Legal Committee.

- Adam was admitted to U.S. Supreme Court Bar in October, 2011. Adam's father and partner, Barry Sheppard, was honored to move for the admission of a group of applicants from the Chicago Bar Association. Adam was among that group and Barry was able to proudly state in open court that he was moving "on behalf of his son, Adam Jordan Sheppard."
