Ria Rochvarg is recognized as one the leading lawyers in Maryland concentrating on the area of guardianship law. She has been appointed by circuit court judges in over 1,000 cases to represent persons who are the subject of guardianship petitions. She also represents the University of Maryland Medical System in guardianship matters, handles private guardianship cases, and is active in the drafting and study of guardianship legislation. Ria’s practice also involves representation of children as best interest attorney in custody cases. She serves on the Custody Subcommittee of the Administrative Office of the Courts. A 1992 graduate of the University of Baltimore School of Law, she has been in private practice since 1994 after working for the Legal Aid Bureau in Baltimore.
