Eric Schutzbank

The managing partner of Berid & Schutzbank in North Andover, Massachusetts, Eric Schutzbank serves clients in Essex County and throughout Massachusetts, offering them legal counsel on matters related to:

An Ohio Wesleyan University graduate, Mr. Schutzbank studied law at the Suffolk University Law School and earned his Juris Doctor in 1995. The same year, he passed the bar and got his license to practice in Massachusetts, and later, in New Hampshire and Maine. He is trained in mediation and also practices collaborative law, helping clients reach amicable resolutions in family law disputes.

Mr. Schutzbank is often appointed as guardian ad litem and parent coordinator in the probate and family law courts of Essex and Middlesex counties. He is dedicated to serving his community and is a co-coach in the North Andover High School mock trial program. He also serves on the board of governors of Temple Emanuel in Andover, Massachusetts.

For his outstanding commitment to pro bono work, Mr. Schutzbank has received the Pro Bono Lawyer of the Year award by Merrimack Valley Legal Services. He has also received a Notable* peer-review rating through Martindale-Hubbell, in recognition of his high ethical standards.

Active in the legal arena, Mr. Schutzbank is a member of the Greater Newburyport Bar Association and the Lawrence Bar Association. Furthermore, he maintains affiliations with the Massachusetts Collaborative Law Council, the Collaborative Law Alliance of New Hampshire and the Massachusetts Council on Family Mediation.
