Attorney Dean M. Googasian represents clients in catastrophic personal injury, wrongful death, auto injury, nursing home negligence, and other injury cases. He is a partner and CEO in The Googasian Firm, P.C. whose practice focuses on representing those injured by the negligence of others.
Mr. Googasian has been practicing law for more than twenty five years and has enjoyed a distinguished career. After graduating from Wayne State University Law School in 1997 ranked first in his class, serving as Editor in Chief of The Wayne Law Review, and graduating summa cum laude, Mr. Googasian clerked for Michigan Supreme Court Justice Hon. Marilyn Kelly.
Mr. Googasian served as Special Assistant to the Assistant Attorney General for the Criminal Division at the United States Department of Justice in Washington, D.C. During his time at Main Justice, Mr. Googasian received the United States Department of Justice Special Achievement Award for Meritorious Acts or Service at the Justice Department.
Mr. Googasian was elected to serve on the Board of Directors of the Oakland County Bar Association in 2015 and currently serves as its President-Elect. He has been an active member of the OCBA throughout his career. He was selected to serve on the State Bar of Michigan's Standing Committee on U.S. Courts, which he recently chaired. He is a frequent author on Michigan law and earned the 2007 Distinguished Brief Award from the Thomas M. Cooley Law Review for the most scholarly brief submitted to the Michigan Supreme Court during that year.
