Richard H. Abend is a premier trial lawyer, focusing on personal injury law. He has dedicated himself to representing individuals who have been injured due to the negligence of others. Mr. Abend has successfully tried numerous cases to jury verdict. In 2010 and 2011, he was recognized by the New York Law Journal for obtaining one of the top verdicts and/or settlements in New York. Mr. Abend, a leader in his field, was also recently recognized by Super Lawyers as a "rising star." He is a faculty member of lawline.com, the nation's largest provider of online continuing legal education. In addition, Mr. Abend is regularly invited to lecture on behalf of PLI, Brooklyn Law School, CUNY Law School and Hudson Valley Bank. 

 Mr. Abend graduated from the University of Rochester and received his law degree from Brooklyn Law School, where he served as the Notes and Comments Editor for the Brooklyn Journal of International Law. He is admitted to the bars of New York and Connecticut, as well as the United States Courts for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York. Mr. Abend is a member of the American Bar Association, New York State Trial Lawyers Association and New York County Lawyers Association. Mr. Abend also serves as a Moot Court Judge for the American Association of Justice (formerly ATLA) and the National Institute for Trial Advocacy student trial advocacy competition.
