Mr. Coffey is a senior partner at O’Connell & Aronowitz and the supervising partner of our Plaintiffs' Negligence and Criminal Defense Practice. He focuses exclusively on malpractice, personal injury, products liability, and criminal defense. With over 35 years of experience at the state and federal levels, he has earned a notable reputation as a litigator, having obtained the largest single verdict in New York State and verdicts of over $1 million in eleven cases. Mr. Coffey has successfully litigated complicated catastrophic injury cases in multiple disciplines. He has extensive appellate practice and has briefed and argued cases in the Appellate Divisions throughout New York State, the New York Court of Appeals, and the federal appellate courts. In his criminal law practice, he has tried dozens of cases and has successfully represented multiple defendants charged with Class A felonies, resulting in acquittal.
