Matthew R. Arnold

An attorney with Arnold & Smith, PPLC, Matthew R. Arnold offers legal representation to clients in Charlotte, North Carolina, and the surrounding areas. In 2000, Mr. Arnold graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in psychology from Belmont Abbey College. During his years there, he was on the dean's list, acted as captain of the school's varsity basketball team, and was a member of the Anne Horne Little Honors Program. Mr. Arnold then attended University of North Carolina School of Law. He was the recipient of the Sarah Graham Kenan scholarship; he worked as a professor's research assistant; he was involved with the UNC Civil Legal Assistance Clinic, where he took a case to trial as a law student; and he was on the dean's list. Mr. Arnold graduated in 2003 with his Juris Doctor.

Over the years, Mr. Arnold has gained valuable insight working on insurance defense litigation and applies that knowledge when assisting clients in matters involving property division and personal injury. He holds a certification as a family law specialist through the North Carolina Bar Association. Community involvement is important and Mr. Arnold holds memberships in several legal organizations. Mr. Arnold also serves as a co-chair on a social and sports committee and is on the alumni board of directors for Belmont Abbey College. In his free time he enjoys spending time with family and golfing.
