James L. Bargar

Attorney James L. Bargar is the founder of The Bargar Law Firm, P.A., in Conway, Arkansas. Mr. Bargar focuses his practice on divorce and family law, representing clients in Conway and throughout Arkansas. He has experience with matters involving complex divorce, adoption and custody cases, particularly those involving child abuse, parental alienation and spousal abuse.

Mr. Bargar has more than a decade of experience. Over his time as an attorney, he has litigated many high-profile cases. He is involved in the local community and familiar with the legal community, including local lawyers and judges.

Providing empathetic yet aggressive representation to individuals and families throughout Arkansas, Mr. Bargar understands that a divorce or domestic-related legal issue can take a major toll on an individual’s life. He is there to help each client through this difficult and challenging time.

In recognition of his accomplishments, The National Trial Lawyers named Mr. Bargar one of the “top 100 trial lawyers” many years in a row. In 2018, the Log Cabin Democrat named him the “best divorce attorney in Faulkner County.” He is a member of the Pulaski County Bar Association, the Faulkner County Bar Association, the Arkansas Bar Association, the Arkansas Trial Lawyers Association and the American Association for Justice.

Mr. Bargar earned his law degree from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock William H. Bowen School of Law. He attained his license to practice law in 2006, which made him eligible to practice law before all Arkansas state courts. Prior to becoming an attorney, he worked as an educator in both the public and private sectors.
