Born and raised in North Carolina, Ms. McIlveen earned her Bachelor of Arts in English from Lenoir-Rhyne University in Hickory, North Carolina, in 2002. She then went on to attend Case Western Reserve University School of Law in Cleveland, Ohio and was awarded her Juris Doctor in 2006. Following graduation, she became a member of The Florida Bar, allowing her to practice before all Florida state courts. Shortly after, she was admitted to practice in North Carolina.
