I can’t go a day without … trying to make someone laugh.
I have lived in … New York, Maryland, Minnesota, Florida and North Carolina.
If you were in my office, you’d … enjoy being in the presence of bare, white walls
(best intentions to put up some art and my diplomas in 2019).
My colleagues would be surprised to know that … in Minneapolis, I trained, taught and fought as an amateur boxer. I was 3-1 but hung up the competition gloves once I started practicing law. I still train and teach amateur boxing. Also, I was a classically trained trombone player. For many years I participated in New York state’s musical competition and often was asked to perform at concerts.
My first job as a lawyer was … working as an assistant public defender in Palm Beach County.
The quality I most like in an adversary is … ethical, professional, zealous advocacy.
My daily pre-trial routine is … wake up, light exercise, light breakfast, small cup of orange juice, small cup of coffee, head to court.
The SCOTUS justice I’d like to meet is … Ruth Bader Ginsburg.
A different practice area that intrigues me is … copyright and trademark law.
A book more people need to read is … Isaac Asimov’s Foundation Trilogy. Asimov’s Foundation series is being adapted into a television series—next Game of Thrones?
The last TV show I binge-watched was … Breaking Bad.
My favorite superhero movie is … The Dark Knight. Heath Ledger’s Joker is the best movie adaptation of a supervillain. Period.
Growing up, my favorite athlete was … Earvin “Magic” Johnson.
I got my first cellphone when … I was 22. Does anyone else remember T9 texting?
My favorite possession is … The Addams Family pinball machine. Its playfield was designed by pinball legend Pat Lawlor and it is the best-selling pinball machine of all time.
My favorite snack is … dark chocolate-covered pretzels.
I drink my coffee … black. And often.
