When I was a newbie lawyer I … applied for the appointed list to get as much courtroom experience as possible. 

The lawyer I most admire is … my mentor, Chandelle Summer. 

The quality I most like in a lawyer is … tenacity. 

My pretrial routine is … to eat a good meal, review my notes, and play music that is going to amp me up en route to the courthouse. 

When I started, I wish I knew … that the law will open your eyes to the real condition of society. 

My career high point (so far) has been … I don’t know that I’ve had it yet. I think I’ve found more highs in overcoming a difficult problem than just simply winning a case. I feel most powerful when I have an opportunity to persevere. 

When I win a case, I celebrate by … driving my husband’s sports car blasting hip-hop. 

I almost quit the law because … it was hard to explain to those who needed protection or services from the government that the law is often reactive, not proactive.

The SCOTUS justice I’d most like to meet is … Ruth Bader Ginsburg.

The SCOTUS decision I’d most like to overturn is … Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization. 

My courtroom walkup music would be … “Circus” by Britney Spears. 

I can’t believe more people haven’t read … One Second After by William R. Forstchen. It isn’t a complex read but will turn you into a closet prepper. 

I can do a pretty good impersonation of … anything from Jack Nicholson to Selena Gomez. 

My fictional hero is … Catwoman. Particularly Michelle Pfeiffer in Batman Returns.

My real-life hero is … my mom. 

I get angry when … I see someone make others feel small. 

The craziest thing I witnessed in a courtroom is … a Munchausen-by-proxy case. Over a week of evidence, dozens of medical doctors’ testimony, and still everyone felt unsure as to whether this was a vigilant mother or someone mentally ill. 

The movie line I quote most often is … “If what I think is happening is happening, it better not be.” – Fantastic Mr. Fox.

The three people I’d invite to dinner are … Marcus Aurelius, Cleopatra, Harriet Tubman.

If I had a morning show, my co-host would be … Ariana Grande.

If I had a time machine, I would … go back to 2002 and give myself some sound advice. 

The book I just don’t get is … Atlas Shrugged.

The last TV show I binge-watched was … Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story.

My favorite meal is … tamales and chili.
