My nickname is … I don’t really have one, but I do have a red birthmark on my neck, so I’ve always thought it would be cool to be called “the redneck lawyer.” My wife does not agree.

I can’t go a day without … technology. Coffee. Seeing my family. Not in that order.

If you were in my office, you’d … say it looks like an old church. Because it is.

My colleagues would be surprised to know that … I play electric guitar.

When I was a newbie lawyer I … was scared to sign my first appearance. It was the first time I was taking responsibility for representing someone as an attorney.

The lawyer I most admire is … Abraham Lincoln.

The quality I most like in a lawyer is … decisiveness.

My pre-trial routine is … Prepare. Worry. Prepare. Proceed.

If I weren’t a lawyer, I’d be … doing something with technology.

I almost quit the law because … it’s hard. But it’s worth it.

I can do a pretty good impersonation of … most of the characters in Napoleon Dynamite or The Emperor’s New Groove.

The SCOTUS decision I’d overturn is … my lawyer has advised me not to answer this question.

A different practice area that intrigues me is … patent law.

My favorite Twitter feed is … @timhawkinscomic.

I can’t believe more people haven’t read … the Bible or the Constitution.

My motto is … Do the work.

I wish I had invented … a flying car.

My favorite podcast is … MacPower Users.

My fictional hero is … Frodo Baggins.

My real-life hero is … wait, Frodo isn’t real?

Nothing cheers me up like … time with my wife and kids.

If I had a time machine, I would … go to the Old West.

My favorite word is … “No.” I’m a dad and a lawyer.

My least-favorite word is … “right?”
