My nickname is … in law school, some classmates called me “Wisco” in reference to where I went to college: UW-Madison. Go Bucky!

If you were in my office, you’d … see a large photo from 1955 of my family’s car dealership, Thibert Chevrolet. Growing up the child of a small business owner in a rural community has greatly influenced who I am today. I have it in my office as a reminder of my roots.

When I was a newbie lawyer I … traveled 80 miles in a snowstorm to cover an eviction hearing for a partner at our firm. Zoom hearings were one of the best things to come out of 2020.

The quality I most like in a lawyer is … integrity.

I almost quit the law because … well, this was before I practiced, but I hated my political science class in college, which made me second-guess my intended career path.

The SCOTUS justice I wish I could’ve met is … RBG.

My favorite social media account to follow is … FOX 9 chief meteorologist Ian Leonard—I appreciate his positive attitude. It’s also helpful to know the weather when you live in Minnesota.

I can’t believe more people haven’t read … their home purchase documents or insurance policies.

On weekends I … am at the lake.

The talent I wish I had is … teleportation. I am from northwest Minnesota and my husband’s family is in southeast Wisconsin. Visiting family would be much easier if we could teleport.

I get angry when … other people don’t follow the rules.

My motto is … “Good thing I worried about that, otherwise it would have happened.”

The last TV show I binge-watched was … Bluey, not by choice.

Nothing cheers me up like … the excitement on my kids’ faces when I pick them up from day care—there’s no replacing that feeling after a hard day at the office.

My guilty pleasure is … getting a latte (oat milk, no flavor) at “Mom’s latte place,” as my son points out every time we pass any coffee shop.

My least-favorite word is … “unprecedented.” The most overused word of 2020.

My courtroom walk-up song would be … “All I Do Is Win” by DJ Khaled.

The question I wish people would stop asking is … “Are you OK?” immediately after I stub my toe on something.
