Educational Background:
  • TY graduated from the University of Edinburgh Medical School, United Kingdom, and where he also completed his internship in internal medicine and surgery. He completed his residency training in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology and was also appointed as Chief Resident at Yale University School of Medicine and Yale-New Haven Hospital.  Subsequently, he finished his fellowship training at Harvard Medical School, Massachusetts General Hospital and Brigham and Women's Hospital. TY is trained in pathological diagnosis of diseases including different cancers of the body. TY has performed and supervised autopsy examinations to investigate causes of death of patients died from surgical mistakes, medication mistakes, obstetrical mistakes, pediatric mistakes, and cancer diseases. After his fellowship, TY was promoted to Attending Physician at Massachusetts General Hospital and Brigham and Women's Hospital, and Instructor and then Assistant Professor at Harvard Medical School. He was also appointed as a consultant physician at Dana Faber Cancer Center and Boston Children's Hospital. TY's responsibilities at Harvard include providing clinical care at Harvard teaching hospitals, conducting medical research, and teaching medical students, residents, and other fellow physicians at Harvard Medical School and Harvard teaching hospitals. TY came to Philadelphia area after joining SmithKline Beecham Clinical Laboratories as a consultant physician. While practicing medicine, TY enrolled in the Evening Division of Temple University Beasley School of Law. He graduated from law school in 2002 with honors (Magna Cum Laude) and the highest cumulative grade point average (class rank: first) of the entire graduating evening class.
