Christopher Leibig is a criminal defense attorney with 25 years of experience. He is the owner of the Law Office of Christopher Leibig located in Alexandria, Virginia. Admitted to practice in all the state courts of Virginia since 1996, Mr. Leibig majored in international affairs and obtained his bachelor’s degree from Georgetown University in 1992. He obtained his Juris Doctor from William & Mary Law School in 1996. 

 

Prior to starting his own firm, Mr. Leibig served as an Assistant and eventually a  Senior Assistant Public Defender at the Alexandria Public Defender’s Office. While there, he gained extensive experience fighting for the rights and best interests of those accused of serious felony charges such as murder, rape, child sexual abuse, internet crimes, malicious wounding, robbery and more.

Mr. Leibig speaks at multiple forums and law schools. He traveled to law schools in Portugal, Scotland, Germany, Ireland, Trinidad, Denmark, Bulgaria and Jamaica, and educated prospective law students on topics related to criminal law. 

Mr. Leibig is a member of the Legal Committee for the National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws. He also serves on the Executive Board of the Virginia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.
