I can’t go a day without … Toby. He’s a dog. He’s the best dog.
The quality I most like in a lawyer is … honesty.
My pre-trial routine is … negotiating with my husband (also a litigator) over which “community property” television shows we are allowed to watch in each other’s absence.
My career high point (so far) has been … reversing a summary judgment granted against my client, and then winning him a bunch of $$$ at trial.
If I weren’t a lawyer, I’d be … either the most sought-after event planner in LA, or the most lonely landscape architect. I have a black thumb.
When I win a case, I celebrate with … a homemade cowboy steak dinner, served rare.
The SCOTUS justice I’d most like to meet is … Merrick Garland.
My courtroom walkup music would be … “All I Do Is Win,” as lip synced by Emma Stone on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
The talent I wish I had is … carrying a tune. I feel bad every night as my son has to listen to my tone-deaf rendition of “Leaving on a Jet Plane.” Then again, I’m convinced it makes sleep all the more enticing for him.
The craziest thing I witnessed in a courtroom is … the head of litigation for an Am Law 100 firm telling my partner—in front of the jury—he wanted to take their dispute “outside.”
The movie line I quote most often is … “In conclusion, may I please remind you that it does not say RSVP on the Statue of Liberty.” – Cher in Clueless
If I had a morning show, my co-host would be … Edna from The Incredibles. I want to know what she thinks about basically everything.
The last TV show I binge-watched was … Workin’ Moms.
My guilty pleasure is … day-old Baskin-Robbins ice cream cake, preferably a corner piece, eaten for breakfast.
If I won the lottery I’d … buy a ranch, learn that running a ranch is much harder than litigating, and then hopefully sell said ranch.
My favorite news source is … KPCC.
Nothing cheers me up like … fresh flowers.
I’m inspired by … my husband, who makes me better.
My motto is … “Living well is the best revenge.”
