Super Lawyers and Serendipity
Bringing people together, one attorney at a time

“Some things in life are serendipitous,” says insolvency attorney Charles Stanziale, explaining how he ended up at McElroy, Deutsch, Mulvaney & Carpenter after his own practice dissolved after 31 years.
In this case, serendipity and Super Lawyers worked hand in hand. It was in the very pages of last year’s issue that Stanziale saw an ad for McElroy Deutsch, whose partners he knew, and decided to make a call. Turned out the 200-lawyer firm lacked a bankruptcy practice and was eager for the addition.
So at the tender age of 65, Stanziale, along with seven of his colleagues, packed up and relocated to the firm’s Newark office. His practice is flourishing.
“It’s a big move for me, at my age, to start a new career!” he says with a chuckle. “But it’s great. I don’t have any problems, I have an active practice and age doesn’t mean anything to me or to these guys.”
Sometimes a little serendipity, and an eye for the right ad, is all a person needs.
