Knowing Weekend Craft Projects All Too Well

I can’t go a day without … checking the office kitchen to look for snacks without a home.

If you were in my office, you’d … immediately spot my framed and signed Taylor Swift photo behind my desk.

My colleagues would be surprised to know … how much of my downtime is spent baking, sewing or making things from scratch.

I almost quit the law because … I would let my imposter syndrome speak louder than my determination.

On weekends I …  am meticulously timing my stretch and folds for my sourdough.

The talent I wish I had is … identifying delivery methods and sources of Diet Coke (i.e., can vs. bottle vs. McDonald’s vs. Wendy’s).

I get angry when … I have to battle for concert tickets on Ticketmaster.

My motto is … “The worst they’ll say is ‘no.’”

My favorite song lyric is … “I keep my side of the street clean/You wouldn’t know what I mean,” from “Karma” by Taylor Swift.

The three people I’d invite to dinner are … Lin-Manuel Miranda, Taylor Swift and Jenny Han.

I wish I had invented … Microsoft Outlook. If you’re reading this, Mr. Gates, I have comments.

Nothing cheers me up like … opening the front door to see my dog, Maggie (pictured here)—she’s an English bulldog and is so named for the sassy and iconic Princess Margaret—who has been patiently waiting for me to come home.

My guilty pleasure is … starting a new crochet project that I know I won’t finish.

My favorite word is …  “audacity.”

My least-favorite word is … “whatever.”

The question I wish people would stop asking is … “Were you named April because you were born in April?”

On my worst day I … know I need to take a nap and try again tomorrow.
