Heather L. Rosing

The CEO and president of Klinedinst PC, Heather L. Rosing has garnered a nationwide reputation for her considerable experience in complex litigation. She heads the Complex Litigation and Professional Liability Department of the firm as its chairperson and serves clients across San Diego, California.

Board-certified as an expert in medical malpractice law by the California Board of Legal Specialization, Ms. Rosing is well-known for her work in malpractice and fraud cases, director and officer claims, law ethics and management liability at state and federal levels as well as in arbitration. In addition to representing judges and commissioners before the Commission on Judicial Performance, she frequently appears before professional disciplinary agencies, such as the State Bar of California.

While her problem-solving skills are well-known, Ms. Rosing is also an accomplished risk manager. She has advised numerous organizations and law firms on matters pertaining to ethics, privileges, conflicts of interest, unauthorized practice of law, fee agreements, fee sharing, fiduciary duties and professional responsibility. In addition to managing a legal company, she provides consulting and expert witness services in these areas.

A 1993 B.S. graduate of the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, Ms. Rosing completed her legal education at Northwestern University School of Law in 1996. She is authorized to practice in California (1996), the Supreme Court of Illinois, the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern and Central Districts of California, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit, and the U.S. District Court for the Central, Eastern, Northern and Southern Districts of California.

The inaugural president of the California Lawyers Association (CLA), Ms. Rosing has also served the State Bar of California in several leadership positions including as its vice-president and treasurer, and chairperson of its Regulations, Admissions and Discipline Oversight Committee. Moreover, she has served as the president of the San Diego County Bar Association, ChangeLawyer and the California Lawyers Foundation.
