Working for a Great Society

Catherine Robb brings her famous family's spirit to a new generation

Catherine Robb looks as if she’s just laid an egg.   Perched atop a vivid-blue exercise ball, the lithe attorney rolls gently back and forth behind a narrow dark-wood desk in her small office at the George & Brothers law firm in downtown Austin. A standard desk chair sits nearby, but Robb prefers the exercise ball.   “It’s good for your back, and it makes me sit up straight,” she explains. The Poster Child for ... Posters

Rogge Dunn sees art where others see only advertising

R. Rogge Dunn knows the value of a powerful image. “My job is to persuade people, and you can persuade only so much with the spoken word,” says the 47-year-old attorney, who uses posters, photographic blow-ups and PowerPoint presentations at trial. “I struggle to boil it down, make it pithy, but make it persuasive.” It must be working. A labor, employment and commercial litigation specialist and partner in the Dallas-based firm of Clouse Dunn Hirsch, Dunn has obtained more than …

He also serves on the ATLA’s board of governors and is a member of the organization’s executive committee and chair of the membership committee. He’s also …

The Dark Knight

Holy transactions and litigation! Steve Stodghill comes to the rescue for all his famous clients

Steve Stodghill is an unlikely comic-book geek. The affable 42-year-old litigator, a principal in the Dallas office of Fish & Richardson and attorney to Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban, is recounting one of his favorite moments from DC Comics’ 1997 re-launch of the Justice League of America series. “There’s a plotline where these martians take over the earth,” Stodghill explains. “The head martian has captured the whole Justice League, except Batman. He’s got …
